The process
What registration involves
Six stages, in order. Each has a plain-English meaning. The official steps always stay with you.
Step 1: Apply in the Applications Portal
The NDIS Commission's online form. Only you can submit it.
Step 2: Complete your self-assessment
Rate your business against the NDIS Practice Standards and explain how you meet each one.
Step 3: Receive your Initial Scope of Audit
The Commission confirms the standards, modules and audit type that apply to you. Guesswork ends here.
Step 4: Choose an approved quality auditor
An independent auditing body approved by the Commission. You choose them and pay them.
Step 5: Complete your audit
Certification has two stages: Stage 1 checks documents, Stage 2 checks how you work. Lower-risk supports get a shorter verification audit.
Step 6: Commission decision
The Commission decides your registration and which supports you can deliver.
